Throat is an internal organ, which is seen in the internal part of the neck. Consisting of larynx and pharynx, a part of the throat is the epiglottis. It separates the oesophagus and the trachea, which prevents the blocking of food and fluids.
1. Adenoidal hypertrophy: It is the abnormal enlargement of the lymphoid tissue behind the nose.
2. Chronic Tonsillitis: Tonsils are a part of the throat ,which are soft glandular tissues. Cough, fever , headache, pain while swallowing and swollen neck are signs of infection in the tonsils and it is called tonsillitis.
3. Voice Disorders: The main reason for voice loss are colds, allergies and exposure to ammonia.The vocal cords if unable to move can result in vocal cord paralysis.
