Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinuses that occur due to an allergy or a viral, bacterial or fungal. The diagnosis of sinusitis is mainly done with the data obtained after performing a careful medical history and clinical examination. Types of sinusitis
Acute bacterial sinusitis

Chronic bacterial sinusitis
This is characterized by the permanence of the symptoms of inflammation for three months or more. Patients have a continued tightness sinus and nasal congestion, especially in the mornings.
This type of sinusitis may be noninvasive or invasive. The noninvasive affects immunocompetent patients is chronic and is often characterized by an exceptionally thick mucus. Invasive fungal sinusitis affects not just immunocompromised patients than immunocompetent.
